Spaces Dedicated to Healing

Adventist Health Portland recognizes the healing benefits of reflection and meditation. That’s why we provide locations dedicated to contemplative moments for patients, visitors, team members and others.

The Memorial Chapel

The Memorial Chapel is located on the first floor of the medical center near the front entrance. The chapel features quiet music, adjustable lighting and artwork designed to provide comfort. The chapel is always open to anyone in need.

The Meditation Garden

The Meditation Garden, located between the main hospital building and Professional Building 1, is available to anyone in need of quiet moments or healing peace.

The garden was dedicated in 1998. Volunteers from the medical center’s Volunteer Auxiliary provided funds for flowers, fountain, trees, tables and other furnishings. Generous donors contributed plants and shrubs. Members of a garden club volunteer for caretaking.
