Volunteer

Do you have a passion to "live God's love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope" like we do? If so, we would love to have you join the Adventist Health volunteer team in Portland, Oregon.

Volunteers are essential throughout our medical center and within our many clinics. They have many reasons they volunteer, including:

• Giving back to their community.
• Becoming involved in truly meaningful service.
• Having a reason to get out of the house and interact with others.

Joining our volunteer team

All volunteers begin their experience in the escort/transport area, where they become familiar with the facility and how we deliver personalized, whole-person care. You’ll be assigned a mentor to help you learn.

Adventist Health volunteers range in age from 16 to over 90 years old. To ensure our patients the best care possible, we do reserve the right to accept or deny acceptance of volunteers at any time during the application process. All volunteers must be able to speak and understand English.

The volunteer services department is located near the front entrance of the medical center on our southeast Portland campus. Just go past the information desk and look for us in the hallway, to the right. We can’t wait to meet you!
