Danielle Nightshade PTDanielle Nightshade PT

Danielle has been employed as a physical therapist at TRMC since graduating with her Master’s Degree in physical therapy from St. Ambrose University in 2002. Prior to attending St. Ambrose, Danielle studied Health Sciences at Boise State University and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science Studies in 1998. Danielle is originally from the East Coast and has lived in Tillamook since moving here with her husband in 2002. She has fulfilled a number of roles in the rehabilitation department over the years and currently serves as the coordinator of Inpatient Physical Therapy services, providing physical therapy to those who are hospitalized. Danielle has earned her Advanced Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation and also provides evaluation and treatment for individuals having issues with balance or dizziness.

Richard Vieten MPTRichard Vieten MPT

Richard is originally from Redlands, CA. He graduated from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda California with a Masters in Physical Therapy. He moved to Tillamook in 2011 with his wife, Kim and has been with Adventist Health for over twenty years. He enjoys a variety of post-operative and orthopedic conditions such as complex shoulder pathologies, cervicogenic headaches, and is certified in Spinal Manipulation. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, farming, motorcycles, playing music, and being with his wife and kids.

Karen Walz PTKaren Walz PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Karen grew up in the San Francisco bay area and moved to Central OR over 30 yr ago. She relocated to Tillamook during summer of 2017 to enjoy the outdoors of the coast. She completed her entry level Masters in Physical Therapy from the Stanford University school of medicine and her clinical doctorate from University of Montana. She completed a clinical residency program in use of Real-time Ultrasound for elite athletes, is a orthopedic certified specialist through APTA and completed an orthopedic manual therapy fellowship program through NAIOMT. She is on faculty with NAIOMT (North American Institute of Manual Physical Therapy) as a clinical instructor and examiner. She has been active in nationwide professional organizations including Past-President of Oregon PT Association. She specializes in outpatient orthopedic disorders and pelvic health patients, providing integrative care. She spends her spare time with her family hiking, backpacking, fishing, playing tennis or enjoying beach walks.

Jonathan Jackson DPTJonathan Jackson DPT

Jonathan Jackson was born and raised in Oregon. He grew up in Pendleton Oregon area. He has done a couple long term mission trips to Central America, in El Salvador and Honduras and enjoys doing that type of work. He did his Undergraduate at Southern Adventist University, near Chattanooga Tennessee and finished his graduate physical therapy degree at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda California. His professional interests include: manual therapy, vestibular, balance, Shoulder rehab, IASTM. Outside work interests include: rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, travel especially internationally, gymnastics, camping, back packing, running, working out, and mission work.

Brandy Jacob DPTBrandy Jacob DPT

Brandy Jacob has lived in Pacific Northwest since her family moved to Tillamook when she was in grade school. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, she worked in the region as a licensed massage therapist for almost 10 years and spent several years at TRMC as an aid for the rehab department. She received her undergraduate degree from Portland State University in Public Health and returned to TRMC as a Physical Therapist after completing her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Pacific University. She enjoys working with high school and recreational athletes and anyone else anxious to get back to the athletic event of life after sustaining an orthopedic injury. She has recently become interested in pre and post-natal therapy and serves as one of the medical center’s aquatic therapists working with patients in the pool. While travel will always be an important part of her life, she hopes to always live in the Pac NW due in large part to the many outdoor activities that she enjoys here including hiking, jogging, surfing, kayaking, SUP, and spending time at the beach with her husband.

Brandan Lym DPTBrandan Lym DPT

Brandan has worked for TRMC since June of 2014. He has greatly enjoyed the Pacific Northwest and all the area has to offer. Brandan received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University – Idaho in 2011, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University, Iowa in 2014. Areas of professional interest include: Running evaluations and return to sport for the lower extremities, McKenzie based therapy approach for treating spine related pain, and all other orthopedic conditions that come to the clinic for treatment. Personal interest include: Soccer with assisting with the local high school teams as able, and exploring the coast with his family.

Kim Vieten DPTKim Vieten DPT

Kimberley Vieten grew up in the small Northern town of Willits, California. She attended Loma Linda University in Loma Linda California, and received her Masters in Physical Therapy in 1993 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy Science in 1999. She has worked for Adventist Health for over 20 years. She moved to Tillamook in early 2011 and spent her first year doing Home Health PT here. She currently sees a large variety of diagnoses in the outpatient setting, but areas of professional interest lie in the orthopedic, joint replacement, shoulder pathology, PT following Breast cancer treatment and general deconditioning. Her outside interests are spending time with her husband (also a PT) and 2 daughters, horses, dogs, hiking and general recreational activities in the area.

Hayley Wolfe DPTHayley Wolfe DPT

Oklahoma Native, Hayley Wolfe, moved to Tillamook in January of 2016. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 2012 and her Doctorate in Physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Diego, California in 2015. She currently serves as the pediatric physical therapist for Tillamook County and sees a wide variety of patients with developmental, neurological, and sports & orthopedic conditions. She enjoys staying active with yoga, gymnastics, and exploring the sites that the coast provides.

Robert Lyons PTARobert Lyons PTA

Robert Lyons was originally born in Ft. Hood, Texas, but spend the majority of his younger years in the Astoria area. He received his degree from Mt. Hood Community College for Applied Science and has spent the last 27 specializing in orthopedics. He has over 20 years’ worth of orthopedic sports medicine experience by serving as a golf conditioning specialist for the PGA. In addition, has worked with several Olympic athletes that were training for track and field, gymnastics, downhill skiing, etc. Since moving to Tillamook in 2008, he has primarily worked with sports and orthopedic conditions for patients of all ages. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Melissa Mitchell PTAMelissa Mitchell PTA

Melissa attended Mt. Hood Community College, where she received an Associate of Applied Science of Physical Therapy degree. She has been practicing for over 20 years, working in a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, home health, assisted living, as well as hospital inpatient and outpatient. She is very experienced in working with geriatrics, neurology, community education, and bariatric patients. Melissa enjoys gardening, DIY projects, and working with high school athletics for Neah-Kah-Nie.
