Adventist Health Simi Valley welcomes Nicole Schneider, MD, to the role of Medical Officer, effective Dec. 5.

Dr. Schneider earned her bachelor’s degree at Yale University, her MD at UC San Francisco School of Medicine, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. She also completed a Masters in Health Administration at USC Price School of Public Policy and was recently named as a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine by the Society of Hospital Medicine.

She most recently served as Regional Chief Medical Officer at Sound Physicians for the Pacific Northwest region where she led hospitalist and emergency medicine teams and value based care teams across 35 different hospitals and health systems in eight states.

“That experience has given me a broad understanding of the current healthcare and hospital landscape,” she shares, “I would like to bring that experience to help AHSV succeed in their goal of providing high quality, efficient and patient-centered care… [to be] a top performer within the Adventist system and nationwide.”

Through Sound Physicians, Dr. Schneider also previously served as a director of hospitalist teams at Adventist Health Glendale and Adventist Health Bakersfield and is excited about working with Adventist Health again.

She looks forward to working at Adventist Health because the values and mission align with her personal approach to being a physician and healthcare leader. Being born and raised in southern California, Dr. Schneider shares, “I am looking forward to being part of the community at AHSV and building valuable relationships with the physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team in the hospital and the community.”
