Cardiovascular operating room

Adventist Health Castle’s cardiovascular operating room is impressively designed to accommodate advanced heart surgery procedures. The room is large enough to house all necessary open-heart equipment, including a heart-lung machine.

Hybrid cardiovascular and surgery room

In addition to the cardiovascular operating room, Adventist Health Castle is equipped with a hybrid cardiovascular and surgery room. This room is designed for both procedures that use small endovascular catheters, as well as nearly all types of open surgical procedures, including open-heart surgery. The hybrid room offers state-of-the-art surgical lights, cameras, booms and video integration to enhance surgical outcomes.

Many cardiac procedures can be performed less invasively, thanks to robotic technology and the expertise of our cardiac surgery expert practitioners. Imaging helps cardiologists, radiologists and surgeons navigate throughout the body as they perform life-saving miniature surgery. Complex procedures, such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair and extremity revascularization, are easier to accomplish through smaller incisions with less tissue and bone trauma, resulting in faster recovery, shorter hospital stays and reduced pain.

Our advanced equipment allows us to conduct all types of endo and cardio vascular procedures. Adventist Health Castle’s hybrid room offers exquisite functionality. It was the first in the state of Hawaii to be designed, from inception, for dual capacity procedures.
