Adventist Health Castle has been at the heart of Windward O’ahu’s healthcare story for over sixty years. Our history is one of immense dedication, expansion, and living God’s love to bring better access to quality care across our community.
A journey of living God’s love and delivering great care
Rooted in a community-driven vision to bring better care to Windward O’ahu and guided by a mission of living God’s love, our original hospital opened its doors in 1963, with 72 beds and 14 bassinets.
From these humble beginnings as a small, community-focused hospital, Adventist Health Castle has evolved into a start-of-the-art healthcare facility serving thousands of residents each year. Over the decades, we’ve expanded our services beyond the walls of our hospital to meet the growing needs of our community.
Adventist Health Castle is now an award-winning, faith-based, nonprofit, integrated health system dedicated to caring for O‘ahu families for over 60 years. The organization comprises inpatient and outpatient services at its 160-bed Level III trauma medical center in Kailua, 18 primary and specialty care clinics, three urgent care clinics, and home-care services throughout Oʻahu.
