Tejveer Dhillon, MD
Tejveer Dhillon, MD, graduated from Yuba City High School as Valedictorian
ten years ago, and now returns to the community as a General Surgeon at
Adventist Health and Rideout Bariatric and General Surgery. Dr. Dhillon
was highly awarded during his studies at Albany Medical School and the
University of California, Davis (Magna Cum Laude) where he earned several
prizes including the American College of Surgeons Resident Trauma Paper
Competition (2014) and the Dean’s Letter of Scholastic Excellence.
A published researcher, Dr. Dhillon recently completed a fellowship and
residency at the University of California, Davis, specializing in general
surgery and trauma critical care.
Arturo Garcia, MD
Dr. Arturo Garcia, General and Bariatric Surgeon, completed medical school
at the University of California, San Francisco, and general surgery residency
at UC San Francisco, East Bay. More recently, Dr. Garcia completed a fellowship
in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at UC Davis Medical Center.
He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Garcia provides
general and bariatric surgery service within Adventist Health and Rideout
Medical Foundation and at Adventist Health and Rideout Regional Medical

Flora Varghese, MD
Flora Varghese, MD, brings to Adventist Health and Rideout Bariatric and
General Surgery her clinical and research experience as a surgeon. Board
Certified, Dr. Varghese has published research papers on breast cancer.
She completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern in
Dallas in 2006. She has worked in rural Texas, the Indian Health Service
in Oklahoma and at the University of California San Francisco where she
was a Fellow and Surgeon. A native of Texas, Dr. Varghese recently added
to her knowledge by completing studies in Health Management after serving
in the United States Air Force at medical facilities in Japan, England
and Qatar.
Mitchell A. Goettman, DO, has joined Adventist Health Physicians Network
in Yuba City. Dr. Goettman is a board-eligible general surgeon, providing
compassionate and restorative health care through general surgery and
laparoscopic procedures.
He completed osteopathic medicine school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, and served as Chief Resident during his General Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Dr. Goettman served a two-year mission in Sacramento where he translated for the Hmong community and provided support for their awareness and education of a variety of health concerns, including Hepatitis B.
When not at work, Dr. Goettman enjoys a variety of hobbies, including hiking and running, as well as spending time with his wife and children.
Kendra Look, FNP-C, Surgical Weight Loss Center, MBS Coordinator Bariatric Nurse Practitioner
Kendra Look joined Adventist Health and Rideout General Surgery as the
coordinator of the Surgical Weight Loss Center in June of 2017. She previously
worked as a bariatric nurse practitioner at Northeast Surgery of Maine
prior to relocating to the west coast. She also has experience in Internal
Medicine, having served as a primary care provider to the adult and geriatric
populations before transitioning to the bariatric specialty. Kendra is
an avid yogi and CrossFitter, and enjoys spending her free time exploring
all that California has to offer.
Kimberley Davis, MSW, LCSW has been with Adventist Health + Rideout for
six years. She began in Home Health/Hospice as a Social Worker before
transferring to the Case Management Department where she worked with hospitalized
patients and their families in all areas of the hospital including the
ER. She has experience as a therapist working in the local community with
children and families, HIV/AIDS Case Management, and in foster care/adoptions.
She has lifelong ties to the local community and is humbled to provide
mental health services to members of the region. Her passion is partnering
therapy services for people that are maneuvering through the medical system
so that they have the best experience and outcome possible. Her hobbies
are reading, doing home improvement projects, playing with her dogs, and
spending time with family and friends.
