Help for managing symptoms

Adventist Health offers professional treatment for individuals experiencing anxiety that lasts longer than two weeks and interferes with normal function, social activities or relationships with others.

Anxiety is a feeling of worry and tension. It’s normal to sometimes experience a feeling of anxiety, especially in relation to an increase in stress. If anxiety becomes chronic, exaggerated or severe and persists over an extended period of time, an anxiety disorder may be present.

Symptoms of anxiety include:

  • Restlessness, feeling keyed up or on edge
  • Easily fatigued
  • Difficulty concentrating or mind going blank
  • Irritability
  • Muscle tension
  • Sleep disturbance (difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or restless, unsatisfying sleep)

If you feel you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder, speak to one of our trained mental health professionals.
