Accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. This accreditation is given to facilities who meet the requirements for patient-centered care and focus on improving quality and patient outcomes.
Primary Stroke Center
As a medical center certified as a Primary Stroke Center, Adventist Health White Memorial has proven its ability to deliver high-quality stroke care. The Joint Commission's Primary Stroke Center certification is based on the recommendations for primary stroke centers published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association's statements/guidelines for stroke care.
STEMI Receiving Center
Adventist Health White Memorial is designated a STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Receiving Center. This designation, given by L.A. County's Emergency Medical Services, recognizes hospitals that are specially equipped and staffed for the rapid, quality care of heart attack patients.
Emergency Departments Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP)
Our emergency department is approved by the County of Los Angeles to receive pediatric patients from the 9-1-1 system. We have specialized physicians, nurses, and support staff experienced in the most advanced pediatric emergency care.
