Taking Care of the Patient after Surgery
Post-operative care
For the first few days after surgery, you may require assistance with ambulation, pain control, dressing changes, decision making, preparation of food, help to the bathroom, physicians’ office visits and more.
We encourage you to have someone at home or visiting in the medical center for the first few days to support and encourage you. Patience is important throughout the post-operative period.
