Information for Visitors

NOTICE: Due to COVID-19 we have the following visitor restrictions:

  • No visitors are allowed in our facilities except for maternity, pediatric or palliative care patients.
  • Our surgery department has established drop off and pick up areas in front of the hospital and will escort surgical patients to and from their car so that the driver can remain in their vehicle.

Helping a loved one through a surgical procedure can be a stressful experience. Our goal is provide you with excellent communication and a comfortable environment to take some of the stress out of your day. Some of the features we provide include:

A Family Communication Board - located in the surgery waiting room, allowing you to find information about where your loved one is in the surgery process.

Excellent Communication - our nurses will provide you with information about how long the procedure will take and will also explain some of the processes to help put you at ease.

At the Adventist Health Sonora, we are fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteers. Volunteers are stationed in the surgery waiting areas to help with the patient check-in process and answer questions. They can help you determine if you have time to leave the waiting area and estimate how long the process will take.

Refreshments - hot coffee and other refreshments are available in the surgery waiting areas. On the main campus of Adventist Health Sonora, the Garden Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
