Pharmacy

Our pharmacy services provide a wide variety of pharmacological functions within the facility hospital and at its two outpatient retail facilities in Sonora. In addition to dispensing medicine and consulting with medical staff and patients, we use sophisticated, computerized pharmacy information systems to ensure the highest levels of patient safety and to keep accurate medical profiles.

Whether you are receiving inpatient medicines on a medical-surgical ward, outpatient treatment at the Diana J. White Cancer Institute or other clinics or simply picking up a prescription at one of our retail pharmacies, you can be assured that our 60-plus pharmacy employees will strive to provide you with the highest level of service.

Inpatient pharmacy

Our inpatient pharmacy dispenses medications and manages pharmaceutical care for every clinical area in the medical center, from the emergency room to our Cancer Institute and long-term care units. Our clinical pharmacists provide drug dosing and monitoring to assist the medical staff in management of each patient's drug therapy. In the process, we work closely with medical staff to ensure the highest standards of treatment and patient safety.

The inpatient pharmacy is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Outpatient pharmacy

Adventist Health Sonora has two branches of Community Pharmacy (outpatient retail pharmacies) in Sonora to serve you, one in the medical center on Greenley Road and one on Stockton Street. Our pharmacies offer competitive prices, consultations with pharmacists and caring customer service. We also make refilling your prescriptions convenient, with an automated phone refill service. We accept most prescription insurance plans.

Community Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Our Greenley Road location is also open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
