Chrissy Hauer is a physical therapist at Angels Camp Physical Therapy, where she has worked since 2012. She is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri. As an undergrad, Chrissy swam competitively on the University of Missouri’s nationally ranked swim team. Chrissy went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of the Pacific in 2012.

At the age of 15, Chrissy became interested in physical therapy as she witnessed and assisted her 21-year-old sister on her journey through rehabilitation following a stroke, a complication from leukemia. That experience continues to guide Chrissy’s passion for physical therapy.

Chrissy enjoys many things about her work – the environment at Angels Camp Physical Therapy, the challenge of problem solving, laughing with her patients and the variety of diagnoses which keeps her on her toes. Combining her passion for swimming and for physical therapy, Chrissy has also started an aquatic therapy program using the aquatic center at Bret Harte High School. Chrissy’s other interests include cooking, hiking, camping and traveling to various countries to experience cultures different from her own. Chrissy had the honor of visiting Guatemala in 2011 to distribute wheelchairs for 50 children. “It was an experience that changed me forever,” Chrissy says.
