About the Medical Center
Adventist Health White Memorial (AHWM) is a 353-bed teaching medical center in Boyle Heights, California,
serving Los Angeles County. The medical center's key services include
advanced diagnostic imaging with cardiac imaging capabilities, behavioral
medicine, cancer care, cleft palate program, diabetes care and treatment,
Level III emergency services (EDAP facility), gastroenterology, inpatient
and outpatient surgical services, heart, vascular and stroke care (including
an accredited STEMI Receiving Center, an Advanced Certification Primary
Stroke Center and a state-of-the art arrhythmia treatment center), orthopedic
care, Level III neonatal intensive care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing
facility, women’s and children’s services.
As a teaching hospital, the medical center offers medical residencies in family medicine, ranked number one in the state; internal medicine; OB/GYN and podiatry.
In 2018, AHWM had 20,789 admissions, 3,444 deliveries, 63,374 emergency visits and 87,614 outpatient visits. The medical center is staffed by more than 557 physicians, 69 medical residents, 1,964 employees and 201 volunteers.
