Adventist Health receives Gold recognition for workplace health achievement

Awards & Recognition

CENTRAL VALLEY – The American Heart Association (AHA) announced that Adventist Health in the Central Valley earned Gold level recognition for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace.

“This is a great honor, which wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of our wellness team and commitment from our employees to live healthier lives,” says Andrea Kofl, president of Adventist Health in the Central Valley.

The AHA’s Workplace Health Achievement Index uses science-based best practices to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs. It’s unique because it calculates an average heart health score for employees of participating companies that securely submit aggregate health data.

As part of the recognition, the AHA will provide Adventist Health with a report that will allow the organization to identify potential areas of improvement and move toward ideal heart health. More information is available at www.heart.org.

In addition to the Gold award, Adventist Health will be featured on the list of Gold level organizations in an upcoming issue of Forbes’ magazine.
