Two Adventist Health Events Raise Money for Breast Care Center

Philanthropy

HANFORD – Earlier this month, the Central Valley Health Foundation brought former San Francisco Giants pitcher Dave Dravecky to Hanford to raise money for the Adventist Health Breast Care Center. In November, it’s welcoming Phillip Phillips – winner of a popular singing competition TV series – to perform an acoustic benefit concert for the community!

The Oct. 5 Gala raised over $80,000 to help the Breast Care Center purchase a tomosynthesis machine, which is an advanced type of mammogram that creates a 3D image of the breasts using X-rays. The machine can help provide better cancer detection. Funds will also help expand the center’s “A Time to Heal” support program for cancer survivors.

To raise additional funds, the Foundation is bringing recording artist Phillip Phillips to the Hanford Fox Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017. Phillips is known for his hits “Home,” “Gone, Gone, Gone” and “Raging Fire.” Opening up for Phillips is local recording artist Landry Cantrell, whose song “Before You” is currently playing on Christian radio stations nationwide.

Ticket information is as follows:

  • First 5 rows: $153
