Adventist Health Portland Names Aaron Poole as New CFO

Adventist Health Portland has named Aaron Poole as the organization’s chief financial officer, effective February 1, 2017. In this role he will drive financial decisions for the organization’s medical center and extensive clinic network throughout the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area.

“We are excited to have Aaron join the Portland team. He is experienced in many areas of health care finance and will support financial growth for the organization,“ says Don Welch, who has been serving as CFO for the medical center and the entire Pacific Northwest Region of Adventist Health. Adding a dedicated CFO to Adventist Health Portland will allow Welch to focus on his regional responsibilities.

Prior to joining the team in Portland, Poole was the chief financial officer for Ukiah Valley Medical Center, an Adventist Health facility in northern California. He has a Master of Business Administration from University of California, Davis and is a certified public accountant. Poole began his career at Adventist Health at Oregon’s Tillamook Regional Medical Center and has also worked at the Adventist Health corporate office, playing an integral role in budget and reimbursement.

Poole and his wife are excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest.
