GAMC CEO Kevin Roberts Inducted into the Studer Group Fire Starter Hall of Fame

Awards & Recognition

PENSACOLA, FL - Five health care leaders from across the U.S. and Canada have been selected for induction into the Fire Starter Hall of Fame, the highest award for excellence given by Studer Group, a Huron Healthcare solution.

The term "fire starter" has deep roots in the company's mission to make health care better for physicians, employees and patients. A "fire starter" refers to an individual who ignites the flames of passion for health care excellence.

The Fire Starter Hall of Fame award recognizes a leader who, through their dedication and passion, guides and supports an organization's commitment to excellence while keeping the true spirit of an organization alive and flourishing.

The Fire Starter Hall of Fame award is given annually in conjunction with Studer Group's best practices conference, What's Right in Health Care®, which attracts top-performing health care organizations from the U.S., Canada and Australia.

This year, five individuals were inducted into the Fire Starter Hall of Fame at the 14th annual conference, held Aug. 2-4, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois:

  • Kevin A. Roberts, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Glendale Adventist Medical Center (Los Angeles, California)
  • Brian Dieter, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mary Greeley Medical Center (Ames, Iowa)

  • William "Bill" Sexton, Chief Executive Officer, Crossing Rivers Health (Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin)
  • Eric Hanna, President and CEO, Arnprior Regional Health (Arnprior, Ontario, Canada)

"Our 2016 Fire Starter Hall of Fame inductees are passionate difference makers who have dedicated their lives and careers to making healthcare better. It's a privilege to work with these individuals who have reached achievement in their field through knowledge, expertise and a true desire to make a difference for employees, physicians, patients and families," said Debbie Ritchie, President of Studer Group.
