Walla Walla General Hospital Gala Set for November 14

Philanthropy

Join us for an unforgettable evening of elegant dining, inspiring words, fellowship and fun at the Walla Walla General Hospital Gala on November 14, 2015 at The Marcus Whitman Hotel and Conference Center.

Guest entertainment features Dick Rutan who completed his Voyager aircraft’s non-stop and unrefueled flight around the world in December 1986, placing him in the history books among pioneers in experimental aviation. Four days after his return, President Ronald Reagan awarded Rutan the Presidential Citizen’s Medal of Honor. In 2005, he set another world record in the EZ-Rocket for the longest-distance in a ground-launched rocket-powered aircraft. A decorated combat pilot in Vietnam, Rutan was awarded the Silver Star, five distinguished flying crosses, 16 air medals, and a purple heart before retiring from the Air Force.

Concert pianist Dr. George François will provide live piano music for the evening.

Proceeds from the Gala will fund comprehensive patient room renovations to improve the healing environment and aid patients in their recovery.

The Gala begins with a social hour and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner, a live auction and the featured entertainment.
