Adventist Medical Center Receives Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award

The stroke team at Adventist Medical CenterAdventist Medical Center has once again received the highest recognition from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. This recognition means that we demonstrate ongoing success in ensuing that stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment. Adventist Medical Center in Portland has been recognized by the American Stroke Association every year since 2007.

“We are committed to making sure every patient receives the right care at the right time, every time," says Pam Almandingner, stroke program coordinator at Adventist Medical Center. "This award recognizes the hard work of our physicians, nurses and other team members in turning key guidelines into life-saving care.”

According to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, stroke is the number five cause of death and a leading cause of adult disability in the United States. Read the entire news release.
