New Family Medicine Physician in Selma

Physicians

SELMA – After three years of residency training at UCSF Fresno Family and Community Medicine with her primary clinic being at Adventist Health / Community Care – Selma, Dr. Shruti Joseph has now joined the medical staff.

The board-certified family medicine physician graduated in August 2014 and decided to stay in the area because of her pleasant colleagues and patients.

“I built great relationships here and have even delivered quite a few of my patients' babies at Selma,” says Dr. Joseph. “This is why I love this specialty. I can deliver babies, follow up with mom's post-partum and watch their babies grow into adults.”

Dr. Joseph knew she wanted to become a doctor at an early age.

“I loved the relationship my family and I had with our family doctor,” she says. “We trusted him, and he felt like part of our family.”

Dr. Joseph attended University of California at Davis and earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the Caribbean. She completed two years of medical school rotations in New York and returned to California to complete her residency training at University of California at San Francisco in Fresno.

Dr. Joseph grew up in Northern California, but says she’s happy to be in the Central Valley to continue to make connections in the community.

She enjoys traveling, baking and taking part in Taekwondo and outdoor activities.

Dr. Joseph may be reached at Adventist Health / Community Care – Selma, 1041 Rose Ave., with a phone number of 559-856-6090.
