Physicians

SELMA - Adventist Health welcomes board-certified and fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist Dr. Bikram Soni, who is joining the practice of cardiologists Drs. Shailesh Shetty and Sundararajan Srikanth in Selma.

Their office is located downtown, at 2001 High St. The phone number is (559) 896-0400, and the fax is (559) 896-0404.

“I like the open nature of the Selma area, and I’m excited to begin my new practice here,” he said. “It offers a lot of opportunities for growth.”

Dr. Soni was born and raised in Punjab, India, where his parents were farmers. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J., and additional training fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

“I enjoy cardiology because it is a dynamic field; things improve and change rapidly,” Dr. Soni said, adding, “It also has the opportunity to play a big role in saving someone’s life.”

Before joining Adventist Health, he practiced in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, Calif., as a cardiology associate at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn., and as an interventional cardiologist at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

During his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors. He speaks English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
