Local Artist Teaches Cancer Survivors Expression Through Art


Paradise, Calif. – The Feather River Hospital Cancer Center is proud to announce a partnership with local artist, Christine Mac Shane. Christine is facilitating an art class designed specifically for cancer survivors and their caregivers to be held at the Feather River Cancer Center. Christine has been painting for 40 years, and teaching art for 10 years. She specializes in acrylics and teaching the beginner. Christine was featured for many years on KHSL & KNVN as their art, home & décor specialist.

Classes are held on Mondays from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm for an 8-week session. The next session begins Monday, May 5 and runs through June 23.

“We are thrilled to be working with the talented Christine. Her talent and expertise will be a blessing to those who attend her class,” says Kate McDonald, Cancer Center Director. “From novice to professional, we invite those touched by cancer to participate in this wonderful opportunity to learn from such a talented individual.”
