St. Helena Hospital Introduces New Lung Health Program

November 20, 2013. St. Helena, CA. St. Helena Hospital’s Martin O’Neil Cancer Center introduced area physicians to its new comprehensive Lung Health Program Tuesday night at an event in Yountville.

Over dinner at the Lucy Restaurant at the Bardessono Hotel, physicians from around the area heard about the benefits of the program from specialists in the fields of cancer care and lung health. The program’s goal is to detect and treat lung cancer and serious lung disease at an early stage, when it is more treatable, and make the process of diagnosis and treatment seamless for patients and referring physicians. Topics included new technology, such as reduced-dose CT screening and surgical technology, utilization of a multi-disciplinary team for patient care planning, ongoing monitoring of high-risk patients, and coordination of care through the program’s dedicated Lung Health Nurse Navigator. The presenters were Medical Director and Pulmonologist Dr. Hossein Razavi, Cardiothoracic Surgeons Drs. Gan Dunnington, Andreas Sakopoulos, Medical Oncologist Dr. Ethan Schram, and Lung Health Nurse Navigator Jennifer Ortelle, MSN, RN, CNL.

Patients and physicians can learn more about the program by calling (800)-358-9195.
