GAMC Teams Up with Homenetmen Glendale Ararat


The partnership between the two organizations represents a common vision that will focus on one result: the health and wellness of the people in the community. The sole mission of the hospital as an organization is to meet the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the community. While the core of that mission is related to the services the hospital provides internally, it also includes a commitment to creating a healthy physical environment of wellness externally.

Homenetmen, is a 95 year-old global organization with over 100 chapters worldwide. Homenetmen, affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America has chapters throughout California, Nevada and Arizona. The Glendale Ararat chapter membership base along with its alumni is over 15,000 members strong and growing and is the largest chapter within Homenetmen’s global network. Known for its deep roots and enormous community support, Homenetmen is the organization of choice when it comes to family oriented activities. Two of Ararat’s programs: Optimal Heath Wellness Center and the “D League” Development League program are community based.

Glendale Adventist Medical Center, a non-profit, 515-bed acute care facility in Glendale, CA, has been a part of the greater Los Angeles community for more than 108 years. Throughout the last century, the hospital has stayed on the cutting edge of the latest advancements in health care. Its mission is to share God's love in the community by promoting healing and wellness for the whole person.
