McCulloch Joins Walla Walla General Hospital as CFO

New Chief Financial Officer Begins This Month

Walla Walla General Hospital welcomes Greg McCulloch as Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer.

McCulloch comes to Walla Walla from the budget and reimbursement department at the Adventist Health corporate office in Roseville, Calif., where he was assistant director. As part of his position there, he was the lead corporate liaison at South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, Calif., and in 2009 he was named their CFO. Most recently McCulloch was serving as the interim director of finance for Castle Medical Center, an Adventist Health hospital in Hawaii.

He received his MBA in Finance and Organizational Management from the University of California at Davis and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Walla Walla College. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of California, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

McCulloch and his wife, Carey, a professional organizer, have two boys, Kyler, 5, and Caden, 2. Carey worked as marketing coordinator at WWGH 1998 to 2000. McCulloch enjoys cycling and “an occasional triathlon,” and completed the Coeur d’Alene Ironman triathlon last summer.

McCulloch takes over the CFO role from Duane Meidinger, who has been CFO at WWGH for 25 years. Meidinger recently asked to transition to a different position within the organization and is now the hospital’s compliance officer and director of performance enhancement. As compliance officer, Meidinger will be responsible for physician contracts. As director of performance enhancement, he will be responsible for productivity, health plan contracts and customer service tracking and improvement.
