San Joaquin Community Hospital Sponsors Free Gospel Music Fest for Community on Saturday, Sep. 12

Event On Saturday, September 12, San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH), in association with Rabobank Arena, will host the First Annual Gospel Music Festival. This free community event, which features Dove-Award winning Christian artist Matthew West, will be held at the Bright House Networks Amphitheatre, located just off of Stockdale Highway at Buena Vista Road. In 2008, West was the most played artist in Christian music. His current work and third studio release, Something to Say, features chart topping hits: “You are Everything,” and “The Motions.”

In addition to West, the Gospel Fest will feature local Christian talent from across Kern County including The Boasting Weak, Sonrise Singers, St. John’s Baptist Evangelical Choir, Rob Ryerson and many more. SJCH Vice President Jarrod McNaughton, who will also perform, is excited about the possibilities this event holds for the community.

“This concert is a chance for our entire community to gather together to see a top-level Christian music without having to worry about ticket prices,” McNaughton said.
“Additionally, it gives local artists a chance to share their gifts and gain exposure in a new venue. This is an event we hope will continue to get better and be something our community looks forward to each year.”
