San Joaquin Community Hospital Foundation to Receive Sizeable Gift from New Community Partner

Philanthropy Tonight, San Joaquin Community Hospital will announce a generous donation to benefit the Grossman Burn Center at SJCH.

What: A local organization has stepped up with a generous donation in support of the new SJCH Grossman Burn Center.

When: Tuesday, November 3, 2009
6 p.m. Press Conference

Where: The Petroleum Club of Bakersfield
5600 California Avenue, 12th Floor

Why: This past June, SJCH opened the first burn center in Kern County. The Aera Clinic, located just off the intersection of 28th and H, has filled a huge community need as an outpatient burn facility. However, funds still needed to be raised to complete the inpatient portion of the burn center, currently functioning in the SJCH ICU. Eventually, the unit will be located on the 3rd floor of SJCH. With the tremendous support of this new community partner, the inpatient center is well on its way.
