Leila Ibushi-Thompson, MSN, BSN, RN

Leila Ibushi-Thompson, MSN, BSN, RN, serves as patient care executive for Adventist Health White Memorial. As of September 2023, she has had 19 years of progressive leadership experience including Critical Care, Cath lab/ IR, and OR. Her most recent role as Chief Nursing Executive at Kaiser Permanente in Baldwin Park involved leading the Magnet journey, culminated by Magnet designation in February 2023. Her primary focus has always been on quality and safety initiatives, and patient experience.

Before becoming patient care executive, she served as an associate chief nursing officer, director of cardiovascular service, interim director of perioperative services, Cath lab manager, nursing supervisor cardiovascular interventional lab, and an intensive care unit RN. Leila earned her bachelor's in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a master’s degree in both nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University in Utah. She holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Nurse Executive Board Certification.
