If you’re relocating to Lake County with a family you’ll have abundant education options. Public schools exist in all communities and are known for their family feel and small classes. Private school options for preschool and K-12 exist in many communities, including non-denominational Christian schools, a Seventh-day Adventist school and Assembly of God school.

Options for college and adult learning exist at Marymount California University, Mendocino College and the Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College.

Sonoma County, anchored by the large town of Santa Rosa, is a popular destination just to the west. The Napa Valley’s world-class wineries and restaurants are an easy drive away. Continue you a little farther and you have all of the culture, sports and shopping that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer. The Pacific Ocean or the Redwoods are just to the west, while Tahoe’s spectacular mountains are to the east.
