Adventist Health Castle is Recognized for Cleanliness and Safety

When your loved one needs care, you want to know they’re in good hands and in a clean, safe environment. That’s why we’re proud to share that Adventist Health Castle is the only hospital in Hawaii to receive a 5-star rating for cleanliness from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2025.

This recognition comes from patient responses to the national Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. The survey reflects how patients feel about their experience during a recent hospital stay-including the cleanliness of hospital rooms and bathrooms. To be the only hospital in the state to achieve this recognition is a powerful testament to the care and attention our team puts into every detail of the patient experience.

We’re also proud to share that Adventist Health Castle has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit focused on healthcare transparency and patient safety. Leapfrog’s safety grades are based on over 30 measures of hospital performance related to errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.

Together, these recognitions speak to the dedication of our entire team, both clinical and non-clinical to providing exceptional care in a clean, safe, and healing environment.
