Adventist Health Named a Top Place to Work in Healthcare

Adventist Health Tillamook is proud to celebrate Becker’s Hospital Review recognizing Adventist Health as one of the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare for 2025. This marks the second consecutive year the health system has received this distinction.

Locally, Adventist Health Tillamook has seen strong improvements in employee engagement, as reflected in their 2024 annual culture survey, where the Tillamook network achieved the highest participation rate in Adventist Health. Survey responses revealed notable improvements in how associates felt about their ability to do what they do best every day, how the organization cares about their well-being, and how the mission of Adventist Health gives meaning to their work.

“Being recognized at the national level for our workplace culture reflects our belief that when we care for our associates, they are better equipped to care for our patients,” said Eric Swanson, President of Adventist Health Tillamook. “A thriving work culture strengthens the patient experience and builds the foundation for long-term financial performance.”

Becker’s noted Adventist Health’s commitment to spiritual values, low-cost healthcare options, mental health resources like SyncTALK counseling, and employee development through tuition assistance and internal career growth. Since 2021, systemwide turnover has decreased from 22.3% to 14.7%, and 57% of leadership positions have been filled internally.

In addition to Becker’s recognition, Adventist Health Tillamook was honored in 2024 as a Ragan Workplace Wellness Award runner-up for Wellness Initiatives and as one of Forbes’ Best Employers in Oregon. These achievements are in step with major patient care improvements, including a $22 million surgical suite expansion in Tillamook and an Electronic Health Record upgrade to Epic across the Adventist Health system.
