The reopening of the Tillamook Kidney Center restored more than dialysis services, it restored hope. Today, local patients can receive life-sustaining kidney care close to home, avoiding exhausting travel and staying connected to the people and community they love.

A lifeline for our community

When the local dialysis clinic closed in 2024, many Tillamook County residents were forced to travel for hours over the Coast Range several times each week for treatment. For patients already battling kidney disease, those long journeys created physical, emotional, and financial hardships for entire families.

The reopening of the Tillamook Kidney Center changed that story. Operated by Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) in partnership with Adventist Health Tillamook, the center is once again providing compassionate, high-quality dialysis care right here in our community.

Today, patients are receiving treatment closer to home, surrounded by familiar caregivers, loved ones, and the comfort of their community.

Why your support matters

Community generosity helped bring dialysis services back to Tillamook County. As a nonprofit healthcare organization, philanthropic support helps ensure patients continue receiving the care they need close to home:

  • Keep dialysis care accessible in Tillamook County
  • Expand treatment hours and patient services
  • Maintain specialized dialysis equipment
  • Enhance the patient experience and comfort
  • Reduce travel burdens for local families
  • Support patients facing financial hardships
  • Ensure access to high-quality kidney care
  • Help meet growing community demand

The impact of giving

Every donation helps strengthen local dialysis care and support patients throughout their treatment journey.

Patients stay close to home

Before the Kidney Center reopened, many patients spent entire days traveling for treatment several times each week. Your support helps ensure patients can receive life-sustaining care without leaving the community they call home.

Families experience relief

Kidney disease affects entire families. Caregivers often rearrange work schedules, transportation, and daily responsibilities to support loved ones receiving dialysis. Local access to care eases these burdens and allows families to spend more time together.

Demand continues to grow

What began as a center operating three days per week quickly expanded to six days because of overwhelming community need. Continued philanthropic support helps the center respond to growing demand while maintaining exceptional patient care.

Compassionate care matters

Patients often describe the Kidney Center as more than a treatment facility. Familiar faces, trusted caregivers, and personalized support create a sense of dignity and comfort during a difficult health journey.

Your gift creates hope

Every contribution helps patients facing significant challenges. Together, our community is ensuring that no one must leave Tillamook County to receive critical dialysis treatment.

We were considering moving away from the home we love just to be closer to dialysis care. Now we can stay right here in Tillamook.
