Recognized as a Top Workplace in Oregon

Adventist Health has received a 2026 Oregon Top Workplaces award from The Oregonian. The recognition honors organizations that have created people-centered workplace cultures and is based solely on confidential feedback from employees.

Additionally, Adventist Health received Culture Excellence Awards in the following categories:

  • Purpose and Values: Celebrating organizations that have successfully communicated the company's mission and integrated those aspirations into the culture.
  • Employee Well-Being: Celebrating organizations that put health and wellness at the center of their workplace culture.
  • Employee Appreciation: Celebrating companies that believe in the self-sustaining performance and positivity boost that results from genuine employee appreciation.
  • Professional Development: Recognizing organizations that place a special focus on developing their employees' careers and enabling their people to grow professionally.

A culture built by employees

More than 1,818 Adventist Health employees participated in the workplace survey administered by Energage, an independent employee engagement technology company. The survey measures key aspects of the employee experience, including whether employees feel respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to do their work.

Adventist Health is among 102 companies recognized on the 2026 list. Only 24 organizations with more than 500 employees in Oregon and Southwestern Washington received the recognition this year.

A reflection of mission and purpose

“This recognition belongs to our employees, whose commitment to our mission is evident in the way they consistently show up for our patients and for one another,” said Kyle King, Adventist Health’s Oregon Network President. “Our teams serve with compassion, skill, and purpose through all circumstances. I am grateful for their honest feedback and for the many ways they support whole-person care and inspire health, wholeness, and hope in the communities we serve.”

Measuring workplace excellence

Top Workplaces awards are determined through quantitative employee feedback collected as part of the Energage Workplace Survey. The confidential survey evaluates several workplace culture themes, including employees feeling respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to execute.

These recognitions reflect the workplace culture created by employees across Adventist Health as they provide patient-centered, compassionate care and support colleagues throughout the organization.
