Patient Experience
All of our services, including visits with our oncologists, clinical navigator and support services experts are all in the same location and these professionals can talk to you at the same time for your convenience. That means more coordinated appointments, less travel and more time to ask questions and learn more each time you visit.
A Warm Welcome
We have worked extensively to create a relaxing environment for our patients as they await their appointments. Beyond the friendly faces that will greet you as you enter, the cancer center lobby has several amenities and resources for you that are there to aid and inspire.
We are pleased to offer an assortment of water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate while you wait for your appointment. In addition, we welcome you to add your hand to the puzzle being assembled on a table as you enter!
Clinical Care Navigator
Our cancer care navigator is at your side through your treatment journey and is specially-trained to help identify and resolve any challenges that stand in the way of receiving the care you need. This helps make it easier for you to understand and follow your treatment plan. We know that cancer treatment can be complex and hope it is helpful to have an experienced guide to help you every step of the way.
Nutrition Support
A registered dietician is available to support your nutrition before, during and after cancer treatment. This can include understanding the ways treatment could complicate your treatment, suggestions for helpful foods or a nutrition prescription and a listening ear about your nutrition and any challenges you encounter.
Financial Support
Financial concerns can be an extra stressor during treatment. That’s why we have an onsite financial services coordinator who interacts with health insurance companies and helps connect our patients to financial resources. We hope this helps our patients focus on their treatment and spending time with those who lift their spirits.
Patient Resource Room
The Patient Resource Room is a place of quiet available for all patients, caregivers and family members. Located just off the main Cancer Center lobby to the right of the entrance, the room is where you can find current, comprehensive information about cancer and numerous support services. The Resource Room offers:
- Cancer library
- Research assistance
- Books
- Brochures
- Internet access and printer
- Access to classes and groups
