Jeff Eller, MBA, FACHE, President and CEO of the Northern California Network of Adventist Health

Jeff Eller is President of the Northern California Network (NCN) of Adventist Health, which includes Adventist Health Howard Memorial, Adventist Health St. Helena, Adventist Health Vallejo, Adventist Health Clear Lake and Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Medical.

Before taking his position as President of the NCN, Eller served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sonora Regional Medical Center in Sonora, California, which operates a non-profit 152-bed hospital. Eller has been involved with Adventist Health since 1987, and has been in his current position since February 2014.

During his five-year tenure at Adventist Health Sonora, Eller expanded healthcare services in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties to benefit these communities. He opened ten additional network clinics with 22 new physicians and 3 mid-levels and a second retail pharmacy and a pediatric clinic to serve Medi-Cal patients. He added Hospice Services, acquired an Ambulatory Surgery Center, invested in the latest imaging technology, which included the purchase of Phillips BrightView XCT, opened the Live Well Be Well Center, established the Center for Joint Replacement and Women's Breast Health Center in Sonora. He expanded services in Calaveras County with the opening of Angels Camp Prompt Care, Angels Camp Physical Therapy, and Angels Camp Orthopedics. In addition, Eller led in acquiring the property adjacent to the medical center with plans to construct a 65,000 square foot medical pavilion to meet the community's growing health care needs. He also significantly improved quality core measure results as Adventist Health Sonora was recognized as one of the nation's Top Performers on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, earning a spot among the top 18 percent of hospitals nationwide. The National Research Corporation recognized Adventist Health Sonora with an award for performance in the Value-Based Purchasing program. Patient, physician, and employee satisfaction scores have also improved significantly.

Prior to assuming his current duties, Eller served as Vice President for Adventist Health Glendale in Glendale, California. In addition, he served as Executive Director of Diagnostic and Support Services, Adventist Health Bakersfield in Bakersfield, California, and held a variety of administrative positions at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Kansas, and Kettering Medical Center, Ohio.

Eller is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). A graduate of California State University, he received his M.B.A. with an emphasis in Human Resources. He also holds a B.S. from Loma Linda University. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Tuolumne County Business Council and a member of the California Hospital Association's Rural Health Advisory Board. Eller and his wife, DeeAnna, have two adult sons.

Eller's vision for NCN and it's partner organizations is to develop a culture that implements evidence-based leadership practices that will create an excellent place for employees to work, an excellent place for physicians to practice medicine, and an excellent place for our patients to receive care.

Steve Herber

Steven Herber, MD, FACS, President & CEO, St. Helena Hospital

Steven Herber, MD, FACS, is recognized as one of California's leading instructors and practitioners in progressive plastic and aesthetic surgery techniques. In addition to his role at Adventist Health St. Helena, Herber, a board-certified plastic surgeon, is medical director of the St. Helena Institute for Plastic Surgery.

Herber earned a bachelor of science degree from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, and a medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and a plastic surgery residency at Yale University, as well as a fellowship in maxillofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at Akron Children's Hospital Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.

The American Medical Association has recognized Herber for his volunteer work on behalf of impoverished children around the world.

Nia Lendaris

Nia Lendaris, RN, CNS, Regional Vice President of Patient Care, St. Helena Hospital Region

Nia Lendaris is the patient care executive responsible for all aspects of the patient experience, including safety, quality of care, satisfaction and improved outcomes.

Lendaris is known in the region as a nursing educator, cardiac rehab manager and patient experience advocate, as well as for her work managing the databases of the American College of Cardiology and Society of Thoracic Surgeons to identify opportunities to improve patient care. She began her career at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa.

Tim Kares is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programs that enhance and maximize the organizations financial operations performance consistent with the values, practices and strategic objectives of Adventist Health.
