For the safety of our volunteers, staff and community members, Adventist Health has temporarily placed its Volunteer Program on hold. During this time, we will not be accepting new volunteer applications. Thank you for your patience and support.

​Trained dogs and their handlers bring great joy to Adventist Health patients, visitors and staff during their visits to our Hanford, Reedley and Selma hospitals.

The Volunteer Services Department teamed up with PetSmart in Hanford to offer training to the canines and volunteer handlers. Each handler must undergo training and receive a certificate in order to bring a pet into the hospitals. Dogs also are professionally groomed before each visit.
