Adventist Health Tillamook announces the addition of new roles and expanded services at its Occupational Medicine clinic at 980 3rd Street, Tillamook, to meet the growing occupational health needs of Tillamook County. The clinic now offers a comprehensive range of services to support local businesses in providing safe, effective healthcare for their employees while navigating complex workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes.

Key additions to the Occupational Medicine team

Dr. Christina Pavelko

Dr. Christina Pavelko joins Adventist Health Tillamook as the primary Occupational Medicine provider, bringing over five years of specialized experience in occupational health. Her expertise supports employers and employees alike, prioritizing prompt, effective treatment for work-related injuries to facilitate safe, efficient recovery and return to work. Dr. Pavelko’s approach integrates her background in both biology and psychology, emphasizing comprehensive care that considers both physical and mental well-being. In addition to her occupational medicine role, Dr. Pavelko also serves as a family medicine provider at Adventist Health Medical Office – Plaza, reinforcing her commitment to the health and wellness of the community.

Jill Waters, MBA, PhD

Jill Waters joins Adventist Health Tillamook as the new Director of Business Development, where she will lead business and community relations for the Occupational Medicine clinic. Jill brings over 20 years of healthcare experience, with a background in strategic planning, process improvement, and partnership building. Her extensive career positions her to strengthen the clinic’s services and reach within Tillamook County. “Jill’s expertise in healthcare strategy and development will help us grow and adapt to our community’s needs,” said Micah Smith, Financial Officer at Adventist Health Tillamook. “We are excited to have her as a resource and partner for both our team and the local businesses we serve.”

Comprehensive occupational health services to support local businesses

Adventist Health Occupational Medicine provides a range of services designed to help local businesses address workplace injuries and support employee health. The clinic’s JobCare Program focuses on timely treatment of work injuries and offers resources to expedite the workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes, helping reduce the financial and emotional impact of workplace injuries on employees and their families.

Services at Occupational Medicine include:

  • Injury care: Initial injury exams, first aid, and follow-up treatments.
  • Work readiness: DOT physicals, fit-for-duty exams, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Health monitoring: Pulmonary function tests, booth hearing testing, immunizations and respiratory clearance.
  • Wellness programs: Immunization clinics, drug screening, onsite lab and X-ray.
