St. Helena Hospital has been honored with the 2024 Women’s Choice Award® for Emergency Timeliness, recognizing its commitment to providing swift and effective emergency care. Ranked in the top 6% of hospitals nationwide for ER wait times, this award highlights St. Helena Hospital’s dedication to exceptional patient care when every minute counts. With 5,000 of America's Best Hospitals receiving the award, we are pleased to join this elite network of the nation's hospitals earning the prestigious seal.

The Women’s Choice Award® celebrates hospitals that excel patient care, emphasizing the hospital's role in empowering women to make informed healthcare decisions. Dr. Steven Herber, President of St. Helena Hospital underscored the recognition, stating “This award reflects the dedication our emergency room team to delivering timely, excellent care when it matters most.”

The emergency services team is led by director Melissa Davis. Davis has led her team to top accreditations for stroke and heart attack care, they've attained specialized certification by GEDA for expert geriatric care of seniors, so this recognition feels right. “I'm incredibly proud of our emergency services team and this most recent recognition for the shortest wait times by the Women's Choice Award for 2024." She went on to share, "I hope our greater Napa Valley residents know that when they are experiencing an emergency they should head to St. Helena Hospital."
