Rep. Andrea Salinas Visits Adventist Health Columbia Gorge

The Adventist Health Columbia Gorge executive team met with Andrea Salinas, U.S. Representative from Oregon’s sixth congressional district, for a roundtable discussion September 22 about the headwinds facing rural healthcare.

Rep. Salinas shared her views on where healthcare reform is needed, while the executives outlined the challenges unique to caring for smaller communities. The team also shared the positive impact of joining the Adventist Health system and the multiprong approach they’re taking to ensuring a long future in The Dalles, Oregon.

“We’ve been serving Columbia Gorge communities for nearly 125 years, and we are committed to providing quality healthcare for years to come,” says Jayme Thompson, Adventist Health Columbia Gorge Administrator. “We welcome opportunities to work with all local, state, and national leaders to improve healthcare access for the people we serve.”
