Adventure is hiding around every corner!

To celebrate 125 years of Adventist Health Columbia Gorge and 25 years of Celilo Cancer Center, you’re invited to join a playful, all‑ages scavenger hunt across The Dalles and surrounding areas.

What is Pip in the Gorge?

Over 125 days, 25 Pip plushies will be hidden in and around The Dalles, Oregon — each one waiting to be discovered and claimed by you! One or two Pips will be hidden each week, giving everyone plenty of chances to join the fun all summer long.

Whether you’re a lifelong local or just passing through, Pip in the Gorge is a joyful way to explore our community, celebrate local businesses and beautiful sites, and make memories along the way.

How to play

  • Watch for clues: Clues leading to Pip’s hiding spots will be posted on our Facebook page throughout the summer.
  • Find Pip: Search high and low! When you find a Pip plushie, it’s yours to keep — finders keepers!
  • Log your find: Each Pip includes a QR code. Scan it to log your find online and receive five entries into the grand prize drawing.
  • Snap a picture: Post a photo of your Pip find on Facebook and tag Adventist Health Columbia Gorge to receive an extra entry. Did you hunt with no luck? Post up to one photo a week of your hunt, tag us, and get a free entry up to once a week into the grand prize drawing.
  • Snag a prize: Finding Pip is its own prize, but the grand prize winner will get a basket packed with fun surprises and local goodies. The more Pips you find and pictures you take, the more chances you have to win.

Who can participate?

In short, everyone!

Pip in the Gorge is open to all ages — kids, families, friends, and solo explorers alike. Participation is free, and no registration is required to start hunting.
