New Providers and Family Medicine Residents Join Ukiah

Caring for our community is more than our mission; it is our ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of every person we serve. That dedication continues to grow as we welcome new providers to the Ukiah community and introduce six new physicians beginning their journey through our family medicine residency program.

Welcoming the next generation of physicians

Every physician's journey begins with a commitment to serve. We officially welcomed our new cohort of family medicine residents to our team and community during a White Coat Ceremony to mark the beginning of their residency and the next steps in their career as a physician.

We've been eagerly anticipating their arrival, and we're excited to share that the latest cohort of family medicine residents joining our team and community. They will be spending the next three years with our team, honing their skills, while serving and getting to know our community.

Training through hands-on community care

They have started their training and will be caring for patients in our clinics and hospital, as well as in the community, doing rotations with other community providers. They will also go out in the community, helping care for our most vulnerable neighbors in partnership with local organizations as part of our Street Medicine program.

Our Family Medicine Residency program was created in partnership with the community in 2019 to train physicians interested in rural medicine through hands-on, patient care experience in multiple settings and therapeutic areas. Studies show that physicians often stay and settle where they completed their residency. We're excited to continue this program and continue improving access to care.
