Butterfly Release at Adventist Health and Rideout's Elaine Tarke Healing Garden
May 12, 2026
On Friday, May 15, the Adventist Health Rideout Foundation welcomed families, friends, caregivers, and community members to the Elaine Tarke Healing Garden for a Community Memorial Butterfly Release and Service of Remembrance.
The gathering provides a compassionate space to honor the memory of loved ones who have passed and share moments of reflection, comfort, and connection. The service included readings, quiet reflection, and a reminder that grief is both personal and shared, and that healing often happens in community.
The butterfly release symbolized renewal, hope, and the enduring presence of those we hold close in our hearts. For many, it was a moment of peace and a reminder that love continues long after loss.
