Glendale Emergency Care

Prompt medical care when you need it most

Adventist Health Glendale’s emergency room is a comprehensive care center well-equipped to meet any medical crisis, large or small, from bandaging scrapes and bruises to treating cardiac arrest. Our goal is to improve your condition quickly and comfortably.

Always open

The ER physicians and staff are here to serve you seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If your personal physician is not available, we are here to help.

Dedicated professionals

Our skilled and compassionate professionals are on duty seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All physicians and nurses are certified in emergency care. At least one physician is always on duty. Two are often present during peak hours.

Triage approach

Our nurses use one-on-one evaluation, known as the triage approach, to determine the severity of each patient's condition as soon as they arrive. This strategy ensures the quickest possible attention for every type of medical need.

Always ready for life-threatening emergencies

As a base station for the city of Glendale and adjacent communities, we coordinate our efforts with qualified paramedics who respond directly to the scene of an emergency. This communication allows us to monitor and begin treatment of a critical patient's condition at the scene (home, workplace, school, car, etc.).

Wide range of services

Our 36 emergency beds are designated for specific types of emergencies, including:

  • Stroke
  • Cardiac
  • OB/GYN
  • Orthopedic
  • Ear, eye, nose and throat
  • Pediatric

Fast Track

Minor emergencies such as cuts, bruises, minor animal bites, minor burns, or cold and flu symptoms can usually be treated in about one hour through our Fast Track. The service is available seven days a week, from noon to midnight. Fast Track is an extension of our ER and services are billed within the same fee structure.
