Remembering Our Legacy

Adventist Health’s legacy in Butte County began in 1950 when the 15-bed Feather River Sanitarium was built to serve the Paradise community. Over the years, the breadth of Adventist Health programs and services grew, serving mothers and newborns, expanding emergency, cardiac and cancer care services, and rehabilitation and hospice programs. The 100-bed hospital stood at its heart, and healthcare in our community thrived.

Rebuilding Our Future

The devastating fire that began on November 8, 2018, forever changed our community. While the landscape and landmarks have changed, our mission of caring for the health of our patients, friends and neighbors endures. As we work to rebuild, Adventist Health and the Feather River Health Foundation stand together with you to advance the health of our community.

Make a Difference – Through Philanthropy

Established in 1983, the Feather River Health Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charity that connects the generosity of our community to the healthcare needs in our community. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, we fund technology, equipment, programs and services at Adventist Health that improve access to health and save lives.

Passion is the heart of giving and we will match your gift to the Adventist Health program or project that is most meaningful to you.
