Fifth Annual Turkey Trot

Join Adventist Health Sonora’s Diabetes Resource Center on Thanksgiving morning for the Fifth Annual Turkey Trot, a free, family-friendly event in honor of Diabetes Awareness Month. Physical activity can cut your risk for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, depression, and more — and it’s a great way to start the holiday with friends and family!

The event will include:

• 1-mile fun run and timed 5k through historic downtown Sonora
• Costume contest — come dressed in your most festive Turkey Trot attire for a chance to win a Cover’s Mile-High Apple Pie!
• Canned food drive to benefit ATCAA Food Bank — please bring non-perishable items to support families in the Mother Lode

Schedule of events:

• 7 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.: Registration
• 7:45 a.m.: Warm up with Adventist Health Fitness Center instructors
• 7:50 a.m.: Costume contest voting
• 8 a.m.: Turkey Trot begins
• 9 a.m.: Presentation of awards and event closing
