Bringing Advanced Imaging Closer to Home

Access to advanced medical imaging plays a vital role in early diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and better health outcomes. Adventist Health is proud to expand imaging services in Paradise by offering CT scans, effective June 2026, bringing high‑quality diagnostic care closer to our community.

What is a CT scan?

A computerized tomography scan, commonly known as a CT scan, is a medical imaging technique that uses X‑ray technology combined with advanced computer processing to produce highly detailed, cross‑sectional images of the body. These images—often called slices—allow healthcare providers to view bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues with much greater clarity than standard X‑rays.

Because of this level of detail, CT scans are an essential tool in modern medicine, helping clinicians make accurate diagnoses and informed treatment decisions.

Why CT scans are used?

Your healthcare provider may recommend a CT scan for many reasons, including to:

  • Diagnose muscle and bone conditions such as fractures or bone tumors
  • Identify the location of tumors, infections, or blood clots
  • Guide procedures like surgery, biopsies, or radiation therapy
  • Monitor the progression of conditions such as cancer, heart disease, lung nodules, or liver masses
  • Evaluate how well treatments—such as cancer therapies—are working
  • Detect internal injuries or bleeding following trauma

CT scans provide critical insight that can significantly impact patient care and outcomes.

What to expect during a CT scan

CT scans are painless, and with newer imaging technology, the scan itself often takes only a few minutes. In most cases, the entire appointment lasts about 30 minutes, making it a convenient option for patients who need fast, accurate imaging without lengthy procedures.

Serving the Paradise community

The addition of CT imaging services is a meaningful step forward for healthcare access in Paradise.

“Having CT scan technology available locally means our community no longer has to travel far for advanced diagnostic care. It strengthens our ability to detect conditions early and support better health outcomes for our neighbors.” — Kylee Mora, Manager, Diagnostic Imaging

By offering CT scans close to home, Adventist Health helps reduce travel burdens and ensures timely care for residents of the Ridge and surrounding areas.
