Congratulations to EMS Provider of the Year Andrew Browning

You may not know this, but the dedicated Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team at Adventist Health Tillamook is one of only three hospital-operated ambulance services in Oregon. Our EMS crews are on duty 24/7 and are stationed in Manzanita, Garibaldi, Tillamook, and Pacific City.

During our celebration of EMS Week in May, Paramedic Andrew Browning was honored as the Adventist Health Tillamook EMS Provider of the Year. This recognition reflects his extraordinary dedication, compassion and commitment to patient care.

Andrew started working with our Tillamook team in September 2022 as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) -Intermediate. His journey from EMT-Intermediate to certified paramedic, which he completed in February 2024, is truly inspiring. Throughout this time, Andrew has consistently gone above and beyond to support both his colleagues and our patients.

His peers appreciate his team spirit, noting, “From the time Andrew was hired, he has distinguished himself as always ready to support the team and provide excellent patient care… and continued to cover shifts and assist coworkers whenever needed.”

Another peer highlighted: “Andrew worked more than full-time while attending and completing medic school. In doing so, he has become a strong ‘locally grown’ medic that we should all be proud of. His dedication to EMS and to Adventist Health Tillamook is unmatched.”
