Annual Art for the Heart Exhibition Winners Announced

Adventist Health Tillamook announced the non-juried prize winners from the annual Art for the Heart exhibition and community reception held Sunday, February 1, 2026, at North County Recreation District, 36155 9th Street, in Nehalem. The event brought together community members, artists, and partners to celebrate creativity, connection, and the role of art in supporting heart health and whole-person well-being.

This year’s exhibition featured a wide range of media and styles, with 20% more art submissions and almost 40% more artists participating compared to 2025. Many of the prize-winning artists have multiple works on display throughout the gallery, reflecting both depth of talent and strong community participation. The 2026 award recipients include: First Place ($500), The Heart by Jacob Welch; Second Place ($250), Colorful Octopus by Jonetta Blum; Third Place ($175), The Tillamook by Brian Cameron; Youth Award ($150), Calico by Meredith Manning; and the People’s Choice Award ($250), Green Man’s Home by Glenna Gray.

Art for the Heart is a non-juried exhibition, open to artists of all ages and experience levels, designed to encourage broad participation and community engagement. Many of the pieces on display are available for purchase, with 20% of all art sales benefiting NCRD fitness scholarships. These funds support heart health and equitable access to movement, and recreation opportunities in North Tillamook County.

The Art for the Heart exhibition will remain open to the public through Friday, February 27, 2026, during NCRD business hours. Community members are invited to visit the gallery, experience the artwork, and enjoy this month-long, heart-healthy celebration of creativity, connection, and community well-being.
