Adventist Health Medical Office – Estacada to Focus on Primary Care
To ensure the highest quality care for their patients in Estacada, Adventist Health is adjusting their scope of services at Adventist Health Medical Office – Estacada located at 200 S.E. Highway 224 in Estacada, Oregon. Effective January 23, 2025, the clinic will primarily focus on scheduled and walk-in primary care for new or existing patients. Walk-in appointments can provide a wide range of treatment options that don’t require urgent treatment of injuries including minor burns, minor broken bones or lacerations. Urgent care services for elevated cases will be transferred to their neighboring Adventist Health Urgent Care – Sandy location, the closest urgent care facility in the region. This shift allows staff to best serve the Estacada community with local, patient-centered care led by their highly rated family medicine providers, Alan Nolasco, MD, and Michelle Ashley, NP. The hours at this location will remain the same, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.
Adventist Health Urgent Care – Sandy is located 12 miles north of the Estacada clinic near Highway 26 at 17055 Ruben Lane, in Sandy, Oregon. The facility offers a comprehensive suite of services and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Patients can schedule urgent care appointments online.
Primary Care vs. Urgent Care: The Benefits for Patients
Primary care focuses on long-term, routine health management, including preventive care, chronic condition management and overall wellness through scheduled appointments with a consistent provider. Urgent care provides immediate treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries that need prompt attention but do not require an emergency room visit, typically on a walk-in basis. By focusing on primary care in Estacada, their staff can enhance continuity of care, focus on lasting patient relationships, and address long-term health goals. At the same time, urgent care needs are best met at the Adventist Health Urgent Care – Sandy location, where patients can benefit from expertise and extended hours for immediate medical needs.
“This change allows the team in Estacada to focus on what they do best — providing personalized, community-centered care for every stage of life,” said Kyle King, President of Adventist Health Portland. “At the same time, the nearby urgent care in Sandy is ready to meet the urgent medical needs of the region with expanded hours and full-service capabilities.” Adventist Health remains committed to serving the Estacada and Sandy communities with accessible, high-quality healthcare.
